  • 200 gms white Quinoa (1 full cup)
  • 4 cups of Water
  • Cooking oil (any of your choice) as per required
  • 1/4 tablespoon of Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 1/3 Kaali Mirch Powder
  • Saucepan for cooking

Quinoa Recipe for Weight Loss


  • 200 gms Cooked Quinoa
  • A thinly chopped small amount of carrots, beetroots, green capsicums, yellow capsicums, cucumbers, white cabbage leaves, purple cabbage leaves
  • Thinly chopped Tomatoes, small ginger root pieces, freshly chopped small amount of coriander leaves.
  • 1/3 Kaali Mirch Powder
  • 1/3 jeera powder
  • 1/3 Himalayan Pink Salt
  • 1/3 Chaat Masala
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 to 1 and a half tablespoon of virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chili Flakes
  • 1 lemon juice
  • White Roasted Til for dressing
  • Coriander leaves for dressing and few amount of Chilli Flakes for dressing/garnishing

Recipe to make Rainbow Quinoa Salad

To make the cooked Quinoa

  • Take a quantity of 200 gms of Quinoa and wash it with 2 cups of water for a thorough cleaning and to wither off the bitter outer layer of the Quinoa seeds. Remember to take the white Quinoa for making!
  • Heat the saucepan and add 1and a half tablespoon of cooking oil of your choice( refined, mustard, olive oil). After that, put the freshly washed Quinoa seeds and roast it to dry out the extra moisture being present from washing. Doing this will get you to prepare Quinoa in 15 to 20 minutes.
  • After roasting the quinoa, add 1/4 tablespoon of turmeric powder to give good colour and texture plus mix well thoroughly.
  • Post doing this, add 1/4 cup of water and let the Quinoa boil in water completely. Add 1/2 tablespoon of Himalayan Pink Salt,  1/3 tablespoon of Kaali Mirch powder to add a fine flavour.
  • One you see boiling of water present in the saucepan containing quinoa, put it into the medium flame and cover it with lid for 15 minutes.
  • Post 15 minutes, you will see to experience soft, well-cooked quinoa. Turn the flame off and within 2 mins you will have your quinoa ready!

To make Rainbow Quinoa Salad

  • Once you have cooked quinoa, transfer it into a microwave glass bowl and add fresh, beautiful and colourful veggies one by one. Remember, they are small in amount and thinly chopped!
  • Add carrots, beetroots, green capsicum, yellow capsicum, cucumbers, white cabbage leaves, purple cabbage leaves, thinly chopped tomatoes, small ginger pieces and coriander leaves.
  • Adding these will give you the desired and healthy Rainbow quinoa salad! 
  • Now add all the healthy spices of all times, 1/3 tablespoon of Kaali Mirch powder, 1/3 tablespoon of Jeera powder, 1/3 tablespoon of Himalayan Pink Salt, 1/3 Chaat masala and mix it well.
  • In a little bowl, take 1 tablespoon of honey and or in 1 to 1 and a half tablespoon of virgin olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon of chilli flakes and squeeze 1 entire lemon juice. Put this dressing onto the salad evenly and mix it thoroughly for a few minutes.
  • Your Rainbow Quinoa Salad is almost ready! For garnishing the cooked quinoa recipe you can spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of white til or coriander leaves.
